Remarkable music deserves to be heard.
Orchestral Atlas starts from the belief that musical discovery and audience accessibility can reinforce one another.
The initiative focuses especially on underperformed Japanese, British and Nordic orchestral works, while remaining open to compelling repertoire from elsewhere. It aims to build imaginative programs and develop practical partnerships with orchestras and soloists.
Katsu Yamane
Conductor · Founder & Artistic Director
Alongside his professional career in robotics engineering, Katsu Yamane has developed an international career in orchestral conducting, leading performances in Russia, Bulgaria and Romania. His repertoire encompasses the established symphonic canon as well as less familiar twentieth-century works.
He conducted the Russian premiere of Akira Ifukube's Ballata Sinfonica in Saint Petersburg and Sibelius's Symphony No. 3 in Constanța, the latter being the orchestra's first performance of the work.
Orchestral Atlas reflects his commitment to placing neglected music within engaging, practical concert programs.
